Cleveland HiBORE XLS Hybrid golf clubs feature additional offset than the original HiBORE hybrid. This promotes a square face at impact for directional and trajectory control.

This hybrid golf club is unique in the fact that it has a Tour inspired design coupled with an offset. This gives amateur golfers the look and feel of a tour quality club, yet promotes forgiveness and hit ability. The offset promotes a square face at impact, preventing slices and making it easier for directional and trajectory control. The additional offset also frames the ball more like an iron by positioning the leading edge closer to the hosel.

Cleveland HiBORE XLS Review
About 3 months ago, June 2008, I got the opportunity to hit the HiBORE XLS for the first time. A friend of mine that normally shoots in the high 90's got a set. Personally, I thought he was crazy to buy a new set of clubs when he could of invested that money in some good lessons. Anyway, that's another issue.
To my surprise, these hybrid golf clubs have lowered his score by about 8 strokes. Boy was I wrong. He let me hit them just to show them off and I was equally surprised how easy they were to hit and control. I've always been a Callaway guy, so it is tough to admit how good these hybrid golf clubs really are.
One thing I did notice was the ability to easily manipulate the trajectory of the ball. I was able, without much effort, to hit a high draw. Something I have difficulty controlling today. The next swing, I was able to hit a straight, low stinger. Something you have to have in Texas.
